I normally don't even bother to leave reviews on anything, but this really does work and a lot of these reviews are terribly exaggerated. Unfortunately, I got my first yeast infection while on vacation at the beach!! I wasn't near my doctor obviously, so I self diagnosed after three days of being miserable. I chose the 1 day pack because this meant I put it in and in 12 hours I could get back out to the ocean and enjoy the last few days of my trip. I used the insert around 6:00 in the evening and just took it easy for the rest of the night. About half an hour after using it, the itching got really really intense. I guess this is due to the fact that it has the equivalent of the amount of medicine used in 7 day treatments and 3 day treatments, in just one treatment. I was very uncomfortable so I took a Tylenol PM and went to sleep. The next day I already felt so much better! Not 100% better, I was still sore, but I was only itching every hour or so for a few minutes. The following day, I felt fine and my symptoms were all gone! It is a very good product. I never had any problems with leaking...the trick is to make sure you have it placed inside far enough when you insert it.
Also, I had several questions about Monistat after I used it so I called the 1-800 number that is given with the directions, and the NICEST nurse spoke with me and she was so helpful. I definitely recommend calling if you have questions or concerns!
If you know you have a yeast infection and are very uncomfortable do not hesitate to use this. Go to sleep or find something to distract you from the increased itching during the first hour or so, but after that you will be relived and so glad you tried this!

I did not have to be embarrased to go to the drug store to purchase. Monistat cleared up the yeast infection quickly and I ordered one just to have but hopefully I won't need it. Pricing was competative with drugstore offers.

Finally, a one day treatment that gets the job done. I was skeptical at first, thinking how can this work in one treatment? It's great that it can be used day or night and even greater that you only have to use it once.

I purchased this product at Target, then came home to research it. I was very worried when I read all of the reviews here, so I put it off for an extra 2 days. My Mom (and itching) finally talked me in to trying it. I decided to use it at night... didn't have any issues at all with it. Within 24 hours, I was already feeling A LOT better. There was very little leakage over the next few days, nothing a liner couldn't handle.
Remember when reading these reviews: You're going to get people posting here who had bad experiences because honestly, who's motivated to spend the time to write the review unless their experience was bad or great? Especially with this kind of product, not everyone is going to rush to their computers and review it. Also, I'm wondering if it's possible that some people had the reaction because they didn't really have a yeast infection (not all, some). It's very important to make sure you have a yeast infection before you use any products for it.
The only con: The insert (medication) contains gelatin. Who honestly wants to put the collagen from inside animals' skin and bones inside their va-jay-jay? I'm a vegetarian, but had to choose my battles because I was suffering (and out $20 if I didn't use it).

After recently completing a rather strong antibiotic for an unrelated infection, I found myself with a Yeast Infection. I did self diagnose (I have never had one before) but I did have Bacterial Infections during both of my pregnancies and could definitely tell the difference.
Although I had read many horror stories about drastically increased burning & itching with the Monistat 1 Day treatment, I opted for it anyway. (I actually bought the Wal Mart Equate brand which was significantly less expensive). I did experience a small increase in itching very soon after using the product, but it subsided within a couple of minutes and was followed only by a slight warming sensation. This morning I did have what felt like a very mild UTI (also listed as a possible side effect of the product). I drank a lot of water, some cranberry juice, and took a dose of Cystex (an OTC urinary and bladder infection pill)and now a couple of hours later feel nearly back to normal.
The 1 Day Treatment definitely improved my Yeast Infection; it feels all but gone and I am hoping that within today and tomorrow whatever effects of the Yeast Infection and minor side effects of the treatment have completely cleared.
I would definitely use the 1 Day product again.
