Vagisil Screening Kit is for women with symptoms of unusual discharge, unpleasant odor, itching or burning. The purpose of the kit is to help women decide if her symptoms may be a yeast infection or another type of vaginal infection that will require a visit to a physician. The kit measures pH. The kit consists of a gynecologist developed vaginal wand with pH paper on one end, and a pH color guide. pH indicates how acidic or basic an aqueous solution may be. To use the Kit, a woman inserts the wand into the vagina, presses the pH paper against the vaginal wall, removes the wand, then matches the resulting color with the color on the pH guide. The number that corresponds with the color match is her vaginal pH. It's very easy to use with immediate results.
